I am also not very familiar, but saw him once last year.

Everyone was sitting while he was doing his singer/songwriter thing. Wordy-arranged songs that didn't seem to reach me, or anyone else I talked to. Everyone got up and danced for the 2-3 dead covers (Peggy o?) which was the only jamming and memorable moments for me.

Anyone that compares him to a young Bruce springstein or Bob Dylan is wildly overestimating.

I saw him open twice for Gov't Mule and was impressed both times. I liked the covers of Dylan, The Beatles and the Dead stuff. He put his own flair on them. As for his originals I thought they were pretty good. For 25 bucks, I would go and hopefully you will like him. I agree he is not the next coming of Dylan, but I do like him better tha Springsteen (I have never been a fan of Springsteen though). Enjoy, check out some of his stuff on the Archive, he has quite a few shows up and I like them, some of them though the sound needs work on but you can get a sense!
